So we made it through the wedding events and now it was time to switch gears to the birthday party. My sister was turning 30 this year, so Barry and I teamed up to throw her a surprise birthday bash since it was such a milestone. We invited about 20 of her friends in Austin to the Melting Pot where Barry had reserved a private room.
Amber had been hinting all week that she really wanted to celebrate her big day. She knew that we had a wedding to go to in Dallas, so she was completely thrown off. Little did she know, we headed to Austin around 2:00 on Saturday and hid out at my brother's house until party time. Barry had told her that they were going to dinner, but she was completely surprised to walk into a room full of people ready to celebrate :) There was even a slide show of embarrassing baby pictures! I was glad we were able to pull off the surprise and for those of you who have never eaten at the Melting Pot - you're missing out!!
