Last week, I had a brilliant idea that we should go the horse races. I had never been before and thought it would be a fun way to kill a Friday night. So BJ and I met some friends up at the Sam Houston Race Park to try our luck. I did pretty well betting on horses with the best names. I was able to play my $2 bets all night off my winnings.
But BJ ended up being the big winner. On the last race, he placed a $24 super-trifecta bet on the top 4 horses. Sure enough, they all placed top 4! The finish was so exciting, and he ended up winning $500 on that race! How's that for beginner luck?
