Viva Mexico!!

For those of you who have never been to a destination wedding, let me be the first to inform you that you are missing out! It's like going on vacation with close friends and attending a special VIP party. We had a BLAST in Cancun this weekend celebrating the marriage of Carly and Tom Harvey. Although it was hard to leave Brylee, we knew she was in good hands. (She may have had more fun that we did!)

We left Thursday afternoon and arrived in Cancun to the beautiful Moon Palace resort. It was HUGE and absolutely gorgeous. That evening there was a cocktail reception for all 100 guests. (Yes, 100 guests) It was really fun to be able to meet the guests and hang out with the bride and groom before the big day.

While I spent Friday doing pre-wedding activities, Tom was nice enough to invite BJ and Scott to play on jet skis with the groomsmen. All of us bridesmaids met up with Carly in the salon while she got her hair done and then we all proceeded to the presidential suite to get ready. At a beautiful and breezy 5:00pm, Carly arrived to the seaside ceremony via a horse drawn carriage accompanied by her dad. The ceremony was full of both Mexican tradition and American vows. Afterwards, a sunset reception turned into a full fledged fiesta as we celebrated the new Mr. & Mrs. Harvey.

Saturday was our only full day to enjoy Cancun and guess what it did? It rained....all day. But that didn't stop us from enjoying the beach and pool. We managed to take a dip despite the clouds and sprinkles.

We left the hotel around 1:00 on Sunday to catch our afternoon flight back to Houston. Although it was certainly nice to get away, we were anxious to get back to little B. She met us with a cold (and sleepy) stare, letting us know that she didn't appreciate being left!

Carly & Tom- Thanks so much for letting us be a part of your big day. Congrats to the new cute couple!
p.s. - four down, two more weddings to go!!
